**Thiruvananthapuram, April 7, 2025** – The Southern Railway has announced two new weekly summer special trains to accommodate the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming vacation season.

The first train, 06041, will run between Mangaluru Junction and Thiruvananthapuram North. Departing Mangaluru Junction at 6 p.m. every Saturday (April 12th, 19th, 26th, and May 3rd), it will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram North at 6:35 a.m. the following day. The return journey departs Thiruvananthapuram North at 6:40 p.m. on Sundays (April 13th, 20th, 27th, and May 4th), reaching Mangaluru Junction at 7 a.m.

The second train, 06555, connects SMVT Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram North. This service departs SMVT Bengaluru at 10 p.m. every Friday (April 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th, and May 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th), arriving in Thiruvananthapuram North at 2 p.m. the next day. The return trip leaves Thiruvananthapuram North at 2:15 p.m. on Sundays (April 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th; May 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th; and June 1st), reaching SMVT Bengaluru at 7:30 a.m. These additional services aim to alleviate travel demands during the peak summer travel period.
