**PUTTAPARTHI, April 7, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Corporation has commenced the procurement of ragi (finger millet) from farmers in Sri Sathya Sai district at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of ₹4,290 per quintal for the Rabi season. Joint Collector Abhishek Kumar announced the initiative on Monday, stating that procurement centers have been set up at Rythu Seva Kendras and will be operated through Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS).
Farmers who registered their ragi crops on the e-Crop platform are eligible to participate. The state government will cover all expenses related to gunny bags, loading, and transportation, ensuring farmers receive the full MSP without additional costs. Farmers who haven’t registered their crops are urged to contact their village agricultural assistants. The initiative aims to guarantee fair prices for farmers and prevent losses from selling at lower market rates.
