**Thiruvananthapuram, April 7, 2025** – The Thiruvananthapuram City Police are intensifying their search for Sukanth Suresh, a colleague of an Intelligence Bureau officer who died after being struck by a train near Pettah on March 24th. Police suspect foul play and financial fraud.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order 2) Nakul R. Deshmukh revealed that the victim had transferred approximately ₹3 lakh to Suresh before her death. The victim’s mobile phone was destroyed, hindering data recovery; however, investigators are pursuing financial transaction records. Suresh’s phone and tablet have been seized.
Police noted that Suresh contacted the victim multiple times on the day of her death, fueling suspicion of his involvement. Despite ongoing efforts, including a nationwide lookout circular, Suresh and his family remain at large. Investigations are extending beyond Kerala. Police are also probing Suresh’s alleged relationships with other women.
