Mon Apr 07 00:09:00 UTC 2025: ## BJP Leader Warns Mamata Banerjee Over Ram Navami Opposition

**Nagpur, Maharashtra –** Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule issued a stern warning to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday, criticizing her continued opposition to Ram Navami celebrations. Speaking at the BJP’s Foundation Day celebrations in Nagpur, Bawankule said Banerjee’s actions could have significant political consequences.

“If Mamata Banerjee does not stop refusing permission for Ram Navami processions, the people of West Bengal will remove her and her party from power,” Bawankule stated. He emphasized that the people of Bengal would not tolerate her actions.

The event also served as the foundation laying ceremony for a new BJP office in Nagpur. Bawankule announced a significant surge in BJP membership in Maharashtra, exceeding 1.51 crore primary members, a record high for the state. He attributed this growth to the hard work of party workers who conducted a door-to-door membership drive. This surpasses the previous record of 97 lakh members achieved during Devendra Fadnavis’s tenure as party president. Further expansion is planned, with 36 new party offices slated to open across Maharashtra in the next two years.
