**Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra –** An IndiGo Airlines flight traveling from Mumbai to Varanasi made an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Airport on Sunday night after an 89-year-old woman passenger died onboard. Airport officials confirmed the incident on Monday, April 7, 2025.
Sushila Devi, a resident of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, reportedly fell ill during the flight. Despite receiving medical attention upon landing at Chikalthana Airport around 10 p.m., she was pronounced dead. Her body was subsequently transferred to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The airline confirmed the details of the incident.
