LAS VEGAS – The Nebraska Huskers basketball team is enjoying a successful weekend, both on and off the court. Following two wins in the Las Vegas College Basketball Crown tournament, the Huskers have secured commitments from two highly touted transfer players.

On Saturday morning, 6’10” forward Ugnius Jarusevicius announced his commitment to Nebraska. Jarusevicius, a first-team All-MAC selection from Central Michigan University, averaged 16.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season, showcasing impressive efficiency and a capable outside shot (31% from three-point range). The Lithuanian native’s scoring prowess was particularly evident in the latter part of the season, with double-digit point totals in 20 of his last 21 games.

This commitment follows Friday’s announcement that 6’7″ sharpshooter Pryce Sandfort, formerly of Iowa, would also be joining the Nebraska program.

The Huskers are currently competing in the College Basketball Crown tournament, with their next game against Boise State scheduled for Saturday. The team’s strong performance on the court, coupled with these significant additions to the roster, signals a promising outlook for the upcoming season.
