Mon Apr 07 13:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Bumrah Returns to Mumbai Indians After Injury Recovery

**Mumbai, India** – Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been cleared by the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence medical team and is set to make his much-anticipated return to the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL 2025. Bumrah, who sustained a back injury during the fifth Test against Australia in January, has rejoined the MI camp and is expected to play against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday.

MI head coach Mahela Jayawardene confirmed Bumrah’s fitness, stating that he had completed his training session on Sunday. “Yes, Bumrah is available (against RCB). He trained today. He arrived last night and I think after his session with the Centre of Excellence, that has been decided,” Jayawardene said in a press conference. He added that while Bumrah is back, they will manage his workload to avoid re-injury.

Jayawardene also provided an update on MI captain Rohit Sharma, who missed the previous game due to a knee injury. Rohit participated in a net session on Sunday and his availability for the RCB match will be assessed.

The Mumbai Indians have had a tough start to the season, winning only one of their first four matches. Bumrah’s return will be a significant boost to their campaign. While expressing hope for a healthy season for all fast bowlers, Jayawardene mentioned that only Mohammed Gajanfar remains injured among their key players.
