Radar indicated rotation within a severe thunderstorm located 7 miles northeast of Ardmore, moving northeast at 45 mph. Communities impacted included Fayetteville, Lynchburg, Tims Ford Lake, Elkwood, Howell, Elora, Hurdlow, Mimosa, Smithland, Coldwater, Blanche, Fisk, and Lincoln.

Authorities urged residents in the affected areas to seek immediate shelter in a basement or interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.
