Sun Apr 06 07:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Telangana Universities to Revamp Undergraduate Curriculum
**Hyderabad, April 5, 2025** – Telangana’s higher education system is set for a significant overhaul. The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) announced Friday that undergraduate curricula across seven state universities will undergo a 20% revision, effective from the 2025-26 academic year.
The decision, reached during a meeting with university vice-chancellors, aims to incorporate emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Fintech, and Research Aptitude. The revamp will also include student-centric reforms such as structured learning units and faculty development programs, facilitated by a new MoU with T-SAT (Telangana Skills, Academic and Training).
A new continuous assessment pattern will be implemented, with student grades based on project work (25 marks), midterms (25 marks), and end-semester exams (50 marks). The TGCHE also emphasized stricter verification of student intakes for affiliated colleges to address discrepancies between sanctioned and actual admissions.
Furthermore, Osmania University will administer the 2025 Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (CPGET), and the Degree Online Services Telangana (DOST) notification will be released following the Intermediate exam results. The changes represent a significant step towards modernizing higher education in Telangana.
