**Mysuru, April 6, 2025** – Sri Ramanavami, the annual celebration commemorating Lord Rama’s birth, was observed with great enthusiasm in Mysuru on Sunday. Devotees thronged temples dedicated to the deity, offering prayers and participating in traditional festivities.

Temples across the city, including Sri Rama Mandira in Jayanagar and the Maruti Temple in Gangotri layout, were beautifully decorated and hosted special prayers throughout the day. As part of local customs, devotees were offered buttermilk and panaka, a traditional sweet drink, at various locations.

The celebrations extended beyond temple visits. The 109th annual music festival commenced at the heritage Bidaram Krishnappa Rama Mandira, while the Sri Ramabhyudhaya Sabha in Srirampet launched its 135th Sri Ramothsava celebrations. These events, which include daily worship, special rituals, music programs, and cultural performances, will continue until April 13th, culminating in the Seetha Kalyana ceremony. The festivities showcase the rich cultural heritage associated with the festival.
