**Kolkata, India** – The highly anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has been rescheduled. Originally slated for Sunday, April 6th at Eden Gardens, the match will now take place on Tuesday, April 8th at 3:30 PM.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the change following a request from Kolkata Police. Due to city-wide festivities on April 6th, police requested the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) to reschedule the match to ensure adequate security personnel could be deployed across the city. The BCCI has granted this request.
The revised schedule will see a single match on April 6th – Sunrisers Hyderabad versus Gujarat Titans – and a double header on April 8th, with KKR vs LSG in Kolkata followed by Punjab Kings versus Chennai Super Kings in New Chandigarh. The rest of the IPL 2025 schedule remains unchanged.
