**Mumbai, India** – The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the results for the Probationary Officer (PO) Preliminary Examination, held in March 2025. Candidates can now access their results on the official SBI website, sbi.co.in. The preliminary exam, conducted on March 8th, 16th, 24th, and 26th, was the first stage of a three-phase recruitment process.

Successful candidates will proceed to the main examination, for which call letters are expected to be released soon. The SBI website provides detailed instructions on how to check results using registration number and date of birth.

The PO recruitment process consists of an online objective preliminary test (100 marks), an online main examination (objective test of 200 marks and a descriptive test of 50 marks), and a final phase including a psychometric test, group exercise, and personal interview. Only the marks from the main examination and final phase will be considered for the final merit list. A penalty of 0.25 marks is deducted for each incorrect answer in the objective tests.

The SBI is expected to shortlist approximately ten times the number of vacancies for the main exam based on preliminary results and three times the number of vacancies for the final phase based on main exam performance. Further details regarding the recruitment process are available on the SBI website.
