Sun Apr 06 09:41:28 UTC 2025: ## Fake Cardiologist at Indian Missionary Hospital Linked to Seven Deaths

**Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, India –** A man impersonating a cardiologist has been linked to at least seven deaths at a Christian missionary hospital in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, sparking a major investigation. Deepak Tiwari, president of the district’s Child Welfare Committee, alleges that Narendra Yadav, posing as Dr. N John Kem, a British doctor, performed heart surgeries at Mission Hospital, resulting in the fatalities.

Tiwari’s allegations, stemming from a February complaint about a doctor’s questionable diagnosis, prompted an investigation involving the District Collector and the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO). The probe has reportedly confirmed seven deaths, though suspicions exist that the number could be higher. Hospital documents revealed Yadav’s impersonation.

While the hospital trust head is currently out of the country, a hospital insider claims Yadav was employed through a government-approved agency. The insider also stated that the hospital filed a complaint with the police after Yadav fled.

Damoh Collector Sudhir Kochar confirmed the ongoing investigation but declined to comment on the death toll. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), having received a complaint, is also investigating, noting the hospital’s involvement with the Ayushman Bharat healthcare scheme. The NHRC’s investigation will also look into allegations that the hospital may have been defrauding the government through the scheme. The investigation continues.
