**New Delhi, India** – A 24-year-old woman, Priyanka, died on Thursday after falling from a malfunctioning roller coaster at the Fun n Food Water Park in South West Delhi. Priyanka, who was visiting the park with her fiancé Nikhil, was on a swing-style ride when a support stand reportedly broke, causing her to fall from a significant height.

The incident occurred around 6:15 pm. Nikhil immediately rushed Priyanka to a nearby hospital, but she succumbed to her severe injuries. Police confirmed visible trauma, including lacerations and puncture wounds. A post-mortem examination has been conducted.

Priyanka, a sales manager, was engaged to Nikhil and was planning a wedding in February 2026. Her family described her as ambitious and determined to achieve financial independence before her marriage.

Police have registered a case against the amusement park under sections 289 (negligent conduct with respect to animals or machinery) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the recently implemented penal code. The section of the park where the accident occurred is currently closed. Fun n Food Water Park has yet to issue a statement regarding the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
