**Shillong, [Date of Publication]** – The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) announced today a remarkable increase in the pass percentage for the 2025 Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations, soaring to 87.10%. This represents a significant jump from previous years, with pass percentages ranging from 51.93% to 56.96% between 2021 and 2024.

Leisha Agarwal and Avila Kathrene P Lyngdoh shared the top spot, each achieving 582 marks out of a possible total. Evanshan Nongrum led the male candidates with 578 marks.

The overall success rate is a significant achievement for the board, exceeding expectations by over 30 percent. Girls slightly outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 92.59% compared to 92.08% for boys. West Jaintia Hills district boasted the highest pass rate at 96.03%, with 4,864 students clearing the examination out of 5,065 who appeared.

The Class 10 examinations were held from February 10 to 25, 2025, in a single shift. The MBOSE has released the results online, enabling students to check their scores through the official website.
