**Agra, April 6, 2025** – A para jump instructor from the Indian Air Force’s Akash Ganga Skydiving Team died on Saturday after a parachute malfunction during a demonstration jump in Agra. Warrant Officer Ramkumar Tiwari (41) suffered fatal injuries when his parachute failed to deploy properly during a jump from a helicopter at approximately 9:30 a.m.
According to police sources, the officer landed directly on the ground and was pronounced dead at a military hospital around noon. The Sadar police station has sent the body for a post-mortem examination. Assistant Commissioner of Police Vinayak Bhosale confirmed receiving information about the death from the Military Hospital.
The Indian Air Force released a statement on X expressing deep sorrow and extending condolences to Tiwari’s family. The cause of the parachute malfunction is currently under investigation.
