**COIMBATORE, INDIA (April 6, 2025)** – With the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) approaching, the Tamil Nadu School Education Department has launched free coaching classes for government and aided school students in Coimbatore district. The initiative aims to help students prepare for the crucial medical entrance exam.
Five centers across the district are currently offering classes to 386 Class XII students from 155 schools. The program covers Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, with classes running six days a week from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Teachers from government and aided schools conduct the sessions, supplemented by weekly mock tests to familiarize students with the NEET exam format.
One student, Nimrod Jubal S., expressed his gratitude for the program, stating that it provides a structured learning environment and valuable resources unavailable through self-study. The program also includes support for both high-achieving and struggling students through daily tests and individualized assistance.
The Department plans to expand the program to include Class XI students, enrolling 30 students per block to introduce them to the NEET syllabus and exam pattern. The free coaching, which began a week ago, will continue until April 30th, providing crucial support to students aiming for medical careers.
