Sun Apr 06 15:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Siraj Achieves IPL Century, Becomes 12th Indian Pacer to Reach 100 Wickets

**New Delhi:** Gujarat Titans pacer Mohammed Siraj has reached a significant milestone in the Indian Premier League (IPL), claiming his 100th wicket in the tournament. The Telangana Police DSP achieved the feat against Sunrisers Hyderabad, taking two crucial wickets within the powerplay to dismiss Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, collectively known as “TraviSek” for their aggressive powerplay batting in previous seasons.

Siraj, the 26th overall bowler to reach the 100-wicket mark in IPL history, is now the 12th Indian fast bowler to achieve this feat. He achieved this milestone after a relatively slow start to the season, having gone wicketless in his first match. However, he bounced back with impressive performances against Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore, culminating in his impressive 4/17 against Gujarat Titans. In four matches this IPL season, Siraj has taken nine wickets.

Previously playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2018 to 2024, Siraj was acquired by Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2025 auction. His 100th wicket comes at a time when he is currently out of the Indian national team, having not been selected for the Champions Trophy. The achievement marks a strong return to form for the talented fast bowler. Siraj’s previous best IPL season was in 2023, where he took 19 wickets in 14 matches. He made his IPL debut in 2017.
