**Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu –** Chief Minister M.K. Stalin lauded the 16,000 women who achieved a Guinness World Record for the largest Valli Kummi performance in February 2024, during a felicitation ceremony in Coimbatore on Sunday. The event, organized by the Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi (KMDK), celebrated the cultural achievement coordinated by the Kongunadu Kalai Kuzhu.

CM Stalin praised the performance, highlighting its contribution to artistic and cultural development and its representation of Tamil unity. He emphasized the importance of art in fostering social progress and moral values, aligning the event with his government’s focus on women’s achievements. He also commended KMDK general secretary and MLA E.R. Eswaran for his consistent advocacy for the welfare of the western region. The ceremony concluded with the Chief Minister presenting mementos to dance teachers and the Guinness World Record certificate to members of the Kongunadu Kalai Kuzhu.
