**Chennai, April 6, 2025** – The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) today expelled party functionary ‘Ice House’ S. Moorthy following his arrest on charges of criminal intimidation. In a statement, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami cited Moorthy’s actions as contradicting party principles and bringing disrepute to the organization. Moorthy served as an office-bearer in the party’s Triplicane unit.

Separately, Palaniswami expressed condolences on the passing of former Rajya Sabha MP C. Perumal, a former presidium chairman of the party’s Krishnagiri district unit and a former member of the party’s student wing.
