**Bengaluru, April 5, 2025** – In a significant reshuffle within the Karnataka Police force, Senior IPS officer Seema Agrawal has been appointed as the new Director-General of Police (DGP) and Director of Fire and Rescue Services. Agrawal, who previously served as the DGP of Civil Supplies, succeeds Abhash Kumar, who retired on March 31st.

The state government also announced the transfer of seven other IPS officers. Key changes include Rupesh Kumar Meena taking on additional charge as DGP of Civil Supplies-CID, Vijayendra S.
