NEW YORK, NY – A pro-life activist was physically attacked during a street interview in New York City on Thursday. Savannah Craven Antao, a reporter for the pro-life advocacy group Live Action, was punched in the face by a woman she was interviewing about abortion.

The altercation, which was filmed and subsequently shared on social media, shows Antao engaged in a heated debate with the unnamed woman. Tensions escalated quickly, culminating in the woman striking Antao twice in the face, causing visible injuries. The video shows Antao bleeding and being forced off camera after the attack.

According to excerpts from the video, the argument centered on the ethics of abortion and the sanctity of life. The attacker reportedly stated, “You don’t understand the magnitude of having a child,” while Antao responded by referencing the interviewee’s apparent support for harming children in foster care. The attacker then ended the conversation with the physical assault.
