LINCOLN, NE – The Nebraska Husker men’s basketball team has added another key piece to their 2025 roster. Ugnius Jarusevicius, a 6-foot-10 forward from Central Michigan, announced his commitment to Nebraska on Saturday, just one day after Iowa transfer Pryce Sandfort joined the program.

Jarusevicius, a first-team All-MAC selection, averaged 16.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game for the Chippewas last season. The Lithuanian forward, who will have one year of eligibility remaining, shot 53.7% from the field and recorded eight double-doubles. His impressive performance included two 32-point games.

“We are thrilled to welcome Oogie to the Husker family,” said Nebraska Head Coach (Coach’s name, if available). “His size, skillset and experience will be a valuable asset to our team next season.”

Jarusevicius will join a frontcourt that already includes Rienk Mast and Berke Büyüktuncel. The addition of Jarusevicius and Sandfort represents a significant boost to the Huskers’ recruiting efforts, bolstering their roster for the upcoming season.
