**New Delhi, April 5, 2025** – Former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has formally requested the Public Works Department (PWD) to allow her to retain her government bungalow at Mathura Road. Atishi, who currently occupies the AB-17 bungalow allotted to her after becoming CM last September, cites her new role as Leader of the Opposition (LoP) as justification.
In a letter to the PWD, Atishi stated that if the Mathura Road bungalow is unavailable, she should be allocated the Ansari Road bungalow previously occupied by senior AAP leader Jasmine Shah. A senior PWD official confirmed the request, adding that no decision has yet been reached. The matter of Atishi’s continued occupancy of the government bungalow remains unresolved.
