Fri Apr 04 01:00:00 UTC 2025: ## TDP MLA Paritala Sunitha Accuses Former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy in Husband’s Murder

**Anantapur:** TDP MLA Paritala Sunitha, widow of former Andhra Pradesh minister Paritala Ravi, has made sensational allegations, claiming that former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was involved in her husband’s murder. Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Sunitha reiterated that the CBI had questioned Jagan in connection with the case.

Sunitha’s accusations stem from the decades-old murder of her husband, a prominent TDP leader. She alleges that Jagan’s party, the YSRCP, is responsible for a culture of political violence, claiming that 45 TDP leaders were murdered during YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s tenure as Chief Minister. She directly implicated Jagan in Paritala Ravi’s assassination, demanding that he answer questions regarding the case, including the infamous car bomb and suitcase bomb incidents. She challenged Jagan to visit the district and address these allegations.

Further fueling the controversy, Sunitha criticized the current attempts to reignite factional violence, specifically mentioning the attempts by Prakash Reddy’s brothers to incite the families of former rivals Gangulu and Sane. She accused them of exploiting the situation surrounding the demolition of houses in Papampet, clarifying that the demolitions were carried out as per Supreme Court orders. She also challenged Jagan to visit the victims of the violence in Thoopudurthi.

Sunitha’s explosive claims have sparked a major political controversy in Andhra Pradesh, with the YSRCP yet to respond officially. The allegations revive a long-standing and sensitive case, bringing renewed focus on political violence and accountability in the state.
