Thu Apr 03 08:19:07 UTC 2025: ## MH370 Search Suspended Again: Families Demand Answers After Decade of Mystery

**Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia** – The search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which vanished in 2014 with 239 people on board, has been suspended due to unfavorable weather conditions, Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced Thursday. This latest suspension, coming just weeks after the search resumed, has reignited outrage among the families of the victims, who have been demanding answers for a decade.

The search, led by Ocean Infinity on a “no find, no fee” basis, was halted due to the current season being unsuitable for underwater operations. Minister Loke stated that the search will resume at the end of the year. Previous searches, including a large-scale operation led by Australia, covered 120,000 square kilometers of the Indian Ocean but yielded little more than a few pieces of debris.

Ocean Infinity’s previous attempt in 2018 also proved unsuccessful. Despite the ongoing mystery surrounding the disappearance, the Malaysian government’s commitment to finding the aircraft remains uncertain. Loke acknowledged the unpredictable nature of the search’s success, stating, “Whether or not it will be found will be subject to the search, nobody can anticipate.”

The 2018 official report into the tragedy highlighted failures in air traffic control and confirmed that the plane’s course was manually altered. However, the report failed to determine the cause of the disappearance, leaving many unanswered questions and fueling various theories.

Families of the victims, many of whom were Chinese nationals, have expressed intense frustration and anger over the repeated setbacks. Last month, on the 11th anniversary of the disappearance, family members protested outside government offices in Beijing and the Malaysian embassy, demanding the return of their loved ones. Their cries of “Give us back our loved ones!” and “When will the 11 years of waiting and torment end?” underscore the enduring pain and unanswered questions that continue to plague them. The Malaysian government’s response to this ongoing pressure remains to be seen.
