Tue Apr 01 18:14:11 UTC 2025: ## Muslim Youth League Leader Attacked in Kasaragod
**KASARAGOD, April 1, 2025** – A Muslim Youth League (MYL) leader and his family were allegedly attacked in Kasaragod on Monday, March 31st. Chengala Hashim Bambrani, 36, his wife, and their two children were assaulted near Bambrani Nagar by a group of four individuals. Mr. Bambrani, who also serves as president of the Muttathodi Service Cooperative Bank, sustained injuries to his hand and face.
The Vidyanagar police have registered a case against four individuals – Nawaz, Karim, Muhsin, and an unidentified masked assailant – under non-bailable sections based on a complaint filed by Mr. Bambrani’s wife. Mr. Bambrani alleges that the attack was orchestrated by SDPI-CPI(M) activists. The injured leader received treatment at a private hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
