**Ghaziabad, UP:** A 25-year-old MBA student, Harshit Tyagi, died by suicide on Tuesday after jumping from the ninth floor of his Indirapuram apartment. Police reported that Tyagi, who was reportedly battling drug addiction and depression, left his room under the pretense of using the bathroom before jumping from his balcony. His mother and cousin rushed him to a Noida hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The case is currently under investigation.

In a separate incident, an 18-year-old, Jaideep Singh, is missing after drowning in the Ganga Canal at Muradnagar. Singh, who had gone to Ghaziabad with his brother to bathe, ventured into deep water and was swept away. Despite efforts by private divers and requests for assistance from the NDRF, his body has yet to be recovered.
