VISAKHAPATNAM, April 1, 2025 – Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary and IT Minister Nara Lokesh addressed party workers in Anakapalli district on Monday, urging them to overcome internal disagreements and focus on promoting the alliance government’s achievements. Lokesh, speaking at a meeting of top-performing workers, acknowledged some members’ discouragement following the allocation of the Yelamanchili constituency ticket to the Jana Sena Party (JSP) in the last general election. He emphasized the importance of party unity, likening the party to a family where minor differences are normal, but sulking is unproductive. He stressed the need to maintain strong relationships with alliance partners, referencing successful collaborations and the importance of “Mitra Dharma” (duty to friends).
Lokesh highlighted the party’s recent success in enrolling one crore members in 83 days, praising their discipline. He announced plans to rejuvenate the party with younger members and a proposal to limit leadership terms to three. He underscored the importance of party workers in addressing local issues and announced upcoming training programs. Workers raised concerns about issues including the displacement of Atchutapuram SEZ project residents, the need for a fishing harbor, and the withdrawal of false cases against TDP members. Several TDP leaders, including State president Palla Srinivasa Rao, were present at the meeting.
