**New Delhi, April 1, 2025** – India and the Netherlands are strengthening their bilateral relationship, focusing on key areas of cooperation. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with his Dutch counterpart, Caspar Veldkamp, on Monday in New Delhi. The meeting centered on expanding collaboration in trade, investment, innovation, water management, and agriculture. The ministers also explored potential partnerships in semiconductors and green hydrogen, as well as increased educational and talent exchanges.
Minister Jaishankar expressed his pleasure at the meeting, emphasizing the growing ties between the two nations. He highlighted discussions on global strategic developments and the importance of a multipolar world order. The meeting follows Veldkamp’s two-day official visit to India, welcomed by the Ministry of External Affairs as a step towards further strengthening the multifaceted relationship between India and the Netherlands. The two countries, which established diplomatic relations in 1947, celebrated 75 years of diplomatic ties in 2022. High-level contacts are regularly maintained, with Prime Minister Modi recently congratulating the new Dutch government.
