**MIAMI, FL –** Language-learning app Duolingo and Carnival Cruise Line have announced a groundbreaking partnership: The Duolingo World Cruise, a five-year global voyage designed to immerse travelers in new languages and cultures. Setting sail in a newly christened ship, the Carnival Gufo, this unique experience will visit 195 countries across seven continents, offering full language immersion alongside Carnival’s signature fun and entertainment.

The cruise promises an “unreasonable amount of shrimp” and themed nights, alongside opportunities to practice learned languages in real-world scenarios, from ordering tapas in Spain to (hopefully) successfully navigating conversations in Germany. Participants will have ample opportunity to hone their language skills, facilitated by the Duolingo platform and the immersive experience.

Carnival has dedicated a new ship, the Carnival Gufo, to this ambitious five-year itinerary.
