**Kanyakumari, April 1, 2025** – The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) concluded a remarkable 6,553 km cyclothon along India’s mainland coastline on March 31st. The event, touted as the first of its kind, commemorated the force’s 56th Raising Day.
The cyclothon, virtually inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on March 7th, saw two teams of 125 cyclists, including 14 women, embark on a 25-day journey across 11 states and union territories. Over 1,100 additional participants joined at various points along the route. The CISF highlighted the significant public support for this ambitious initiative. The journey began simultaneously from India’s eastern and western coastlines.
