**Bengaluru, April 1, 2025** – Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a major Indian defence public sector undertaking (PSU), announced a significant 16% increase in its turnover for the fiscal year 2024-25, reaching approximately ₹23,000 crore (provisional and unaudited). This surpasses the previous year’s turnover of ₹19,820 crore. The company also reported a 14% rise in export sales, reaching $106 million.
BEL secured new orders worth ₹18,715 crore during the fiscal year, including contracts for projects such as BMP II upgrades, Ashwini Radar systems, and various other defence and non-defence sector initiatives. As of April 1st, 2025, BEL’s total order book stands at approximately ₹71,650 crore, with an export order book of $359 million.
Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Jain attributed the success to enhanced indigenization efforts, expansion, modernization, and collaborations with Indian industries, including MSMEs and startups. He further highlighted BEL’s strategies to expand its global presence. The company aims to maintain its market leadership in the strategic electronics sector.
