**NEW DELHI, March 31, 2025** – The Delhi Police have arrested the husband of a woman whose body was found stuffed in a bed box in Shahdara two days earlier. Ashish Kumar (45) was apprehended in Bihar in the early hours of Sunday, according to DCP (Shahdara) Prashant Priya Gautam. Kumar is now in police remand.
The police investigation revealed that Kumar, along with two accomplices, Vivekanand Mishra (64) and Abhay Kumar Jha alias Sonu (29), murdered Anju after she caught them in a compromising position. After luring Anju back from her parents’ home in Ludhiana, the trio placed her body in a bed box at Mishra’s flat before fleeing to Jaipur. Mishra and Jha were arrested earlier; Kumar’s arrest completes the trio’s apprehension. Police are currently interrogating Kumar to gather further details.
