**Mumbai, India –** Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has accused Maharashtra cabinet ministers of issuing death threats against stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra. Raut alleges that ministers are openly demanding Kamra be “shot and hanged” for his controversial remarks about Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Raut criticized Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for his inaction, claiming the lawlessness is occurring under his watch. He demanded immediate action and special protection for Kamra, drawing a parallel to the security provided to BJP MP Kangana Ranaut following her disputes with the Shiv Sena.
Kamra faces three new FIRs filed in Khar police station, stemming from his comments. The complainants include the Mayor of Jalgaon and a hotelier and businessman from Nashik. Despite a Madras High Court granting him interim anticipatory bail until April 7th, Kamra remains under threat, prompting Raut’s urgent call for intervention. The comedian has previously been summoned by Mumbai police for questioning.
