**LOS ANGELES, CA** – Nick Cannon, father of twelve, has announced he’s pressing pause on expanding his family. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the 44-year-old entertainer revealed that while he isn’t ruling out future children, he’s currently prioritizing his burgeoning career and financial stability.

“My grandmother called me last night, like ‘Another One!'” Cannon recounted, explaining the impetus for his public statement. “I was like, ‘Calm down.'” He clarified that while he loves his children and isn’t opposed to having more, “the way my bank account is set up, I’m going to press hold on this 12 for right now.”

Cannon’s comments follow the viral spread of a podcast interview where he discussed the possibility of future children. He is currently juggling several new projects with Culture Genius, including executive producing and hosting a new interview series, *Celebrity Dad Jokes*, as well as working on *Super Dad*, *Big Drive*, and *Daily Cannon*.
