**THOOTHUKUDI, March 31, 2025** – Kayathar Police have arrested two men, Maharaja and Shanmugaraj, in connection with the murder of C. Sangilipandi on Monday. Sangilipandi was initially reported to have died in a road accident on the Kadambur-Kayathar highway, but a police investigation revealed he had been murdered.
Police discovered cut injuries on Sangilipandi’s body, leading them to suspect foul play. Their investigation suggests that a group followed Sangilipandi on his two-wheeler before attacking him in a secluded area. The motive appears to be Sangilipandi’s alleged affair with the wife of one of the accused. A murder case has been registered, and further investigations are underway.
