**KOCHI, March 31, 2025** – Ernakulam Rural police arrested a 41-year-old suspected drug peddler, Ameer of Nellikkuzhy, under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PITNDPS) Act. The arrest, based on a report by District Police Chief Vaibhav Saxena, follows a history of drug-related offenses for Ameer, who has prior cases registered at Vandiperiyar Excise range and various police stations including Kothamangalam, Kuruppampady, and Perumbavoor.
