Mon Mar 31 10:00:00 UTC 2025: ## KTR Demands Rahul Gandhi’s Response to HCU Land Controversy
**Hyderabad, Telangana:** Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has demanded that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi respond to the controversy surrounding land near Hyderabad Central University (HCU). KTR took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his concern over the alleged destruction of 400 acres of land in the Kancha Gachibowli area.
KTR shared videos and photos showing what he described as “bulldozers and JCBs” demolishing the land, questioning Gandhi’s silence on the issue. He characterized the actions as “green murder,” highlighting the environmental damage.
However, the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) has clarified that the 400 acres of land in question belongs to the government and is not part of the HCU campus. The TSIIC statement refutes claims that the land is forested or includes Buffalo Lake and Peacock Lake, asserting that the project aligns with the government’s goals of improving IT infrastructure and urban planning.
KTR’s demand for Gandhi’s intervention puts further pressure on the Congress leader to address the ongoing land dispute and its environmental implications. The controversy continues to unfold, with differing accounts of land ownership and intended use.
