**SEOUL, South Korea** – Actor Kim Soo-hyun will break his silence on his relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron during a press conference on Monday at 4:30 p.m. at the Stanford Hotel in western Seoul. The announcement comes after weeks of escalating controversy surrounding the nature and timeline of their relationship, following allegations made by Kim Sae-ron’s family via the far-right YouTube channel Hoverlab.

Goldmedalist initially denied the allegations of a relationship, but later admitted to a romantic involvement, stating it did not begin before Kim Sae-ron turned 19. This claim was challenged by Kim Sae-ron’s family, who presented leaked KakaoTalk messages allegedly showing flirty and intimate exchanges between the two dating back to 2016, when Kim Sae-ron was a minor. The messages included suggestive comments and invitations to meet privately.
Kim Sae-ron was found dead in February, with authorities ruling her death a suicide. The press conference represents Kim Soo-hyun’s first public response to the accusations and the subsequent fallout. Goldmedalist stated in a press release that they “deeply regret causing concern with the recent developments” and that the press conference will offer their side of the story.
