Sun Mar 30 18:59:28 UTC 2025: ## New Badminton Court and Jet-Rodding Vehicle Inaugurated in Chennai

**Chennai, March 31, 2025** – A new indoor badminton court and a jet-rodding vehicle were inaugurated in Thirunagar, Anna Nagar Zone (VIII), Chennai on Sunday. The ₹50 lakh badminton court was funded under the Central Chennai MP Local Area Development (MPLADS) Scheme, and inaugurated by Minister P.K. Sekarbabu and MP Dayanidhi Maran.

Simultaneously, a ₹30 lakh jet-rodding vehicle, also funded by MPLADS, was introduced for the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board. This specialized vehicle will be used to clear blockages in stormwater and sewer drains in the area. Chennai Mayor R. Priya and other local officials attended the inauguration.
