**Bengaluru, March 31, 2025:** Bengaluru is expected to experience light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms from April 2nd to 4th, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD has also forecast fairly widespread rainfall across Karnataka on April 3rd and 4th.

IMD Bengaluru director C.S. Patil stated that temperatures in Bengaluru are likely to drop by 3°C to 4°C between April 2nd and 5th. The forecast is attributed to a cyclonic circulation over the southwest Bay of Bengal and another over interior Karnataka.

While isolated light rainfall is anticipated on April 1st and 2nd, April 3rd and 4th will see more significant rainfall, particularly in coastal Karnataka and north and south interior Karnataka. A yellow alert has been issued for several districts, including Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu, Mysuru, Chamarajnagar, Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri, and Gadag, anticipating isolated heavy rainfall and potential hailstorms in these areas.
