Mon Mar 31 14:06:59 UTC 2025: ## HAL Reports Steady Revenue Despite Setbacks, Boasts Record Order Book
**Bengaluru, March 31, 2025** – Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) announced a provisional revenue of ₹30,400 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25, a slight increase over the previous year’s ₹30,381 crore. This achievement comes despite production setbacks affecting Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) and Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) deliveries due to engine shortages and a January accident, respectively. HAL countered these challenges by accelerating deliveries of other products and services.
The company’s order book has significantly strengthened, growing from ₹94,129 crore to ₹1,84,000 crore over the past year. This surge is attributed to new manufacturing contracts worth ₹1,02,000 crore and repair, overhaul, and maintenance (ROH) contracts worth ₹17,500 crore received during the fiscal year. A landmark achievement was the signing of a ₹62,777 crore contract with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for the supply of 156 LCH Prachand helicopters – the largest single procurement from HAL to date.
Other notable highlights include HAL’s attainment of ‘Maharatna’ status, the first Defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) to achieve this prestigious designation. The company also secured contracts for 12 additional Su-30 MKI aircraft, the mid-life upgrade of 40 Do-228 aircraft, the supply of 240 AL31FP engines, and the avionics upgrade of one IL-78 aircraft.
HAL chairman and managing director D.K. Sunil attributed the success to capacity enhancements, including the addition of production lines for LCA and HTT-40 aircraft, as well as increased aero engine capacity in Koraput. With supply chain issues stabilizing and a robust order book, HAL expects stronger financial performance in the upcoming fiscal year.
