**VISAKHAPATNAM, March 31, 2025** – The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) announced today that it collected a total of ₹510.32 crore in taxes during the 2024-25 fiscal year, exceeding its previous year’s revenue. This figure includes ₹427.37 crore from property tax and ₹82.94 crore from taxes on vacant land. The GVMC collected ₹456.65 crore in the previous fiscal year (2023-24), with ₹376.65 crore coming from property tax. The increase represents a significant boost in municipal revenue.
