**Bengaluru, March 31, 2025** – The Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium (JNP) in Bengaluru announced a hike in its entry fees for the sky theatre, effective April 1st. The increase aims to support the planetarium’s continued efforts in science education and outreach.
Adult tickets will now cost ₹100, up from ₹75, while children under 16 will pay ₹60 instead of ₹50. School group rates have also increased to ₹50 per student (previously ₹40), and block bookings for school groups and other organizations have seen price adjustments from ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 and ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 respectively.
JNP Director B.R. Guruprasad stated that this is the first fee revision since 2020 and justified the increase by highlighting the planetarium’s prominent position among Indian planetariums and its commitment to popularizing science through informal educational programs. The sky theatre shows remain a key attraction, supplemented by various other science-based activities designed to foster scientific curiosity among students.
