**Mysuru, March 31, 2025** – Thousands of Muslims in Mysuru celebrated Id-ul-Fitr on Monday with special prayers held at various locations, including the Eidgah Grounds in Tilak Nagar and Ghousianagar, as well as Srirangapatna. The festivities marked the end of Ramadan and saw large congregations exchanging greetings and offering prayers for peace and prosperity.
While the celebrations were largely peaceful and marked by traditional gaiety, a segment of worshippers wore black armbands to protest the anticipated introduction of the Union government’s Waqf Amendment Bill.
