The incident occurred on Saturday, March 29th, on a Coimbatore-Salem route bus. While approaching the Karuthampatti toll plaza, the conductor handed over the day’s ticket revenue to the driver, Sakthivel, who then proceeded to count the money while operating the vehicle. Passengers recorded this action on their phones and shared the footage on social media. Following an inquiry by TNSTC Salem division officials, Sakthivel was placed under suspension on Sunday.
