Mon Mar 31 14:24:10 UTC 2025: ## DMK Launches Free Drinking Water Booths in Tirunelveli Amidst Scorching Summer
**Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu – March 31, 2025** – The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party has launched a series of free drinking water booths across Tirunelveli city to combat the intense summer heat. The initiative, spearheaded by the party’s minorities wing, aims to provide relief to the public during the scorching weather.
Palayamkottai MLA M. Abdul Wahab inaugurated one such booth in Tirunelveli Town on Monday. Tirunelveli Corporation Mayor G. Ramakrishnan was also present at the inauguration. According to Raja S. Abbas, an office-bearer of the DMK’s minorities wing, the booth’s maintenance will be handled by the wing itself. The program is expected to expand to other areas of the city.
