**CHENNAI, March 31, 2025** – Coimbatore-based Goat Robotics, a manufacturer of heavy-duty robots for industrial applications, has secured ₹2.66 crore (approximately $320,000 USD) in a recent funding round. The investment round was led by Campus Angels Network, contributing ₹1.09 crore, with participation from Native Lead Angels, Pontaq Ventures, TiE Coimbatore, and other investors.

Goat Robotics, incubated at Forge Ventures and supported by PSG-Science & Technology Entrepreneurial Park (PSG STEP), produces robots weighing approximately 660 kg and capable of carrying up to 2,000 kg. These robots are currently utilized across various sectors including automobile manufacturing, furniture production, custom pump manufacturing, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).

The company plans to use the funding to expand its market reach through a rental model, aiming to make its robotic solutions more accessible to cost-sensitive businesses. Furthermore, Goat Robotics intends to develop a GT-Studio ecosystem, an orchestration layer that integrates with existing factory machinery to enhance real-time decision-making and human-robot collaboration. A portion of the funding will also be allocated to R&D and production of upgraded GT-series robots with improved payload capacity, intelligence, and modularity.

Muthukumar Thiyagarajan, CEO of Goat Robotics, described the funding as a “major milestone” in the company’s journey. Chandran Krishnan, CEO and managing director of Campus Angels Network, highlighted Goat Robotics’ potential to revolutionize industrial processes through intelligent automation solutions.
