**Burhanpur, MP:** The holy month of Ramadan culminated in joyous Eid celebrations in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, today. Thousands of Muslims gathered at the Shahi Eidgah, an ancient prayer ground, to offer Eid prayers. The event saw a massive turnout, with attendees praying for peace and prosperity for the nation and the world.
Speaking to Local 18, Sheikh Musharraf highlighted the significance of Ramadan, emphasizing the month-long devotion and prayers observed by Muslims, culminating in the Eid celebrations upon sighting of the new moon.
The large congregation necessitated a temporary closure of two national highways—the Indore-Ichhapur highway and the Ankleshwar highway—passing through the Sindhi Basti area for four hours to manage the crowd and ensure smooth traffic flow. Police personnel were deployed throughout the area to maintain security. The highways reopened after the conclusion of the prayers.
